In-House Pathology

In house blood work provides a rapid and complete picture of your pet’s health status. Our qualified veterinarians can assess the results immediately and can discuss recommendations and treatment options for your pet. It is frequently used for pre-anesthetics, general health profiles, patient monitoring and in emergency cases where time is critical. In house snap tests can also be used to diagnose feline viruses, canine heartworm and parvovirus. As part of our in house pathology we perform cytology (microscopic evaluation) on fine needle aspirates from lumps, ear swabs and skin scrapings. In cases where diarrhea is a problem a fecal analysis can identify any worms or parasites that might be the cause, all these tests can be performed while you wait.
