X-Ray & Ultrasound

At Vet Med we have can look into the inside of your pet by using x- rays or ultrasound.

X-rays just like in human hospitals helps Vet Med Vets to diagnosis problems associated with nose, teeth, spine, bones, chest and abdomen. Having x-rays facilities on site at all our hospitals means your pet gets a diagnosis quicker and with less stress.

For safety and getting the best diagnostic x-ray it is important that we sedate or give a light anaesthetic to your pet.

Ultrasound helps our Vet Med vets to look inside most organs of the body, where as X-rays help to get an over all look at organs inside the body. Ultrasound helps our vets to see what the organ structure is like or if there are lumps, cysts, abscesses or tumours replacing normal organ tissue.

Heart ultrasound or echocardiology can help diagnose why your pet’s heart may not be functioning normally.

Having ultrasound at Vet Med means your pet doesn’t require referral to specialist hospital and Vet Med vets can diagnose disease quicker and more easily.
